Mahomed originally qualified as a Solicitor in April 2009. In November 2010, he qualified as a Duty Solicitor, and soon after attained his Higher Rights of Audience in December 2012. Serious Crime
- R-v-S and Three Others—A lengthy murder investigation which resulted in four of the accused being indicted after 6 years. Three out of the four defendants were represented by Mahomed at the police station. This case involved a very complex area of law on identification. All charges were the subject of formal not guilty verdicts.
- R-v-B&G—A case concerning two men whom were accused of a ride-by shooting in Stockwell. Mahomed represented Mr G for murder who was subsequently acquitted during the trial.
Mahomed also specialises in Sexual Offences and has worked on a number of cases including Rape, Sexual Assault and other sensitive matters. He has dealt with a number of other serious crimes including Conspiracies, GBH, Drugs Supply, Robbery, False Imprisonment, Kidnap and Firearms Offences.
Financial Crime
Mahomed has represented numerous individuals for Fraud offences. One particular case involved a defendant who was arrested for running an extensive and sophisticated scheme of scamming the Student Loans Company. Additionally, Mahomed has successfully defended one out of seven co-defendants on a complex Mortgage Fraud which concluded in May 2015 at the Old Bailey. He has also gained experience in Conspiracies to Defraud, Money Laundering, Insurance Fraud, Benefit Fraud, Theft from Employer and Proceeds of Crime cases.
